The World SB14 Barcelona will take place from 28th-30th October 2014 at Palau de Congressos de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain. The aim of the World SB14 Barcelona Conference is to discuss and find solutions to some of the biggest societal and environmental challenges which face the building sector today. Building professionals, international experts and policy makes from across the globe be asked “Are we moving as quickly as we should?”

At Knauf Insulation we would argue that when it comes to renovation, no we are absolutely not. The renovation of the building stock has the potential to transform lives, address energy security concerns and dramatically improve our competitiveness… But in a climate where finance is scarce, where will the money come from?

This will be the subject of the Knauf Insulation session at this year’s conference. The session, in partnership with the World Green Building Council’s Europe Regional Network, will look at  how, as we move away from subsidies and towards leveraging private finance, we can massively scale-up energy efficient renovation activity across the building stock.
